The challenge

Mobas have enjoyed a long relationship with PEM accountants and as part of their recent rebrand were asked to design and develop a new website for the business, bringing separate divisions of the company into one domain. This presented a possible user experience issue as these separate arms of the business currently sat on their own websites and had slightly different idea of how they should be integrated.

The main PEM site had been compromised by the Google algorithm update in 2013 as it was part of a syndicated website hosting system which meant that duplicate content had been published on through the site along with other sites using the same syndicate.

Our approach

The Mobas team worked closely with the MobasCore strategy team to develop an online solution that would fit with the business objectives and key messages of the new PEM brand. Through a detailed scoping process, key user journeys were established and once mapped out gave the basis for a new site structure.

We also took time with the internal marketing team at PEM to introduce the idea of content marketing and developed interactive elements to the website that would promote PEM’s original content to help the site perform better organically and position PEM as thought leaders in their industry.

The result

The website was successfully rolled out on time, with the rest of the brand collateral in April 2015. It was well received by PEM and their clients. There has been a vast improvement in the websites performance with increased visits from social and other referral sites (referral traffic increasing by 15%). This new digital solution has given PEM a platform from which they can launch their online presence and continue to meet and excede their business objectives.
