Mobas strengthens strategic offer with two senior appointments

Mobas, the strategic marketing agency, has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of two highly experienced practitioners to bolster the agency’s strategy offering.

Shelby Haslam, who has more than 25 years experience in marketing and over 15 years managing strategy projects, has joined the Cambridge-based agency as Head of Strategy. Shelby has vast strategic marketing experience, having worked with blue chip brands ranging from Warner Bros, Visa, Bayer CropScience and Bacs Direct Debit.

Shelby said: "Mobas has a growing reputation, both regionally and nationally, and I’m really looking forward to this new challenge. I intend to grow the talented team and further expand our already strong client base with leading firms from across this highly innovative and successful region.”

Robin Bryant, Mobas Joint Managing Director, said: “Shelby is an exceptionally strong strategic marketer. With deep experience developing and implementing business strategies for clients, she is a great fit for the team, and we’re delighted to have her on board.

“To further support our ambitious growth plans, we’re excited to announce that management consultant Neil Gaught has joined us as an Associate and Special Advisor. Neil is locally based but works across the world advising businesses, governments, and charities. He specialises in helping his clients position themselves for the future, and is particularly passionate about the opportunity forward thinking businesses have to organise themselves around a clearly defined purpose that benefits all stakeholders. His specialist knowledge, understanding and first-hand global experience will bring a new dimension to Mobas’.”

Neil’s career spans 30 years. In that time he has worked on global assignments for blue-chip corporates such as Merrill Lynch, De Beers, Standard Chartered Bank, BG Group and Scottish Power. In the ‘third sector’ Neil has advised some of the world's largest NGOs, various UN agencies, the World Bank, OECD DAC, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Commenting on the new relationship with Mobas, Neil said: “Cambridge and the surrounding region is one of the most dynamic business environments in the world; the opportunity to make a difference on my doorstep is very exciting. I’m very much looking forward to helping Mobas grow and help ensure its clients are fit and fully supported for the future.”
