MOBAS APPOINTS MORE NEW TALENT
Mobas, one of the fastest growing integrated agencies in the Cambridgeshire region, is meeting market demands by strengthening its position in PR, media and design
At a decisive time when many companies are considering cutbacks, Mobas is expanding its integrated capabilities and brand offering with three key appointments in just one month. The injection of new talent will add weight to the already successful team, which works on brands including Accor Hospitality, Countryside Properties, NHS Blood and Transplant, Novartis Animal Health and Greene King.
A tour de force for the Mobas PR team is Valérie Amar-Matthews, appointed as PR Senior Account Manager to handle all aspects of PR. Valérie comes from the Central Office of Information - the UK Government’s marketing and communications department - where she was an Account Manager at the regional East of England office. Prior to this, Valérie was an Account Manager at Myriad PR where she managed accounts and public affairs campaigns for Durex and worked with global PR teams for Group Scholl and SSL international corporate accounts.
Hellena Barnes, Head of PR for Mobas, said: “It’s been less than a year since we launched the PR arm and the expansion rate has been exceptional: Mobas PR already looks after important Cambridge clients, such as TuckerGardner and PEM, working alongside national brands such as Accor Hospitality. We welcome Valérie with open arms – she is a true professional with PR at her heart and a finely tuned instinct to create campaign ideas and drive them forward. Her experience will be invaluable to the team and to our clients”.
Valérie added: “Having worked on well-established accounts within well-established teams since I started my PR career, this came as a fantastic opportunity to join at an early stage, when the business is already very successful yet the growth potential is tremendous”.
New to the Mobas Creative Studio is Junior Designer Laurence Abbott, fresh from Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge with a First in Graphic Design. Laurence said: “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to join Mobas. I have a love for editorial and type designing and hope to apply them accordingly in a commercial environment. Working for a company that designs as I want to design is very exciting, so I’m looking forward to a fast-paced future of creative challenges”.
Rebecca Burgess has been appointed Account Executive at Mobas. Whilst studying for an MSc in Marketing at Manchester Business School, Rebecca worked in a voluntary role as Junior Marketing Assistant and Researcher at The Savvy Partnership, a successful Manchester-based marketing consultancy. Rebecca commented: “It’s very exciting to start my career in a growing company with such an interesting and expanding client base – I am looking forward to the challenge of getting to grips with an exciting range of clients and working on multiple projects”.
