Mobas helps PlayFusion to smash Kickstarter campaign
Strategic marketing agency Mobas has been working alongside local Cambridge-based games studio PlayFusion, helping them to secure pledges well over its initial goal of $200,000.
The Kickstarter campaign was created to involve the community in PlayFusion’s epic creation, Lightseekers, a multi-dimensional gaming experience. The adventure role-playing video game seamlessly connects smart action figures, trading cards, comics and more in the fantasy universe of Tantos.
The $227,660 pledged towards Lightseekers will enable PlayFusion to develop new characters, weapons and accessories to bring to retail in early 2017.
A total of 1,635 backers supported the campaign, earning themselves exclusive rewards such as iPad Pros, in-game credits and the creation of their own pet. Pledges over $10,000 even came with an invitation to the VIP launch party and permission to drive Bertha, the PlayFusion tank, over a car.

“Thanks to the support of our Kickstarter backers, we will now be able to bring Lightseekers to completion and they will be able to exclusively try the game next month. We can’t wait to finally let people into the game to explore!”
Involving key influencers and media targets all over the world, Lightseekers received more than 70 pieces of organic coverage during the campaign featuring in high-profile publications in the UK, US and Europe.
