Mobas creates app film for Elanco to help pet owners stay on schedule

Elanco Companion Animal Health launches handy new pet app to remind owners when their pets need medication or treatments

They say never work with children or animals – and now Mobas has done the latter –and to great effect.

The integrated agency has created an engaging two-minute film that shows how to use Elanco Companion Animal Health’s new pet-care app, which makes it easier than ever for owners to remember to medicate and treat their pets on time.

The star of the film was a sweet-tempered Jack Russell named Lily – modelled after the Elanco mascot – who was only too happy to play up to the cameras. In addition to charming the 15-strong production team, Lily flirted with stardom by fetching various items, including a ball, a lead, a bowl and eventually – an iPhone, symbolising the Elanco pet app, which reminds owners by sending push alerts to medicate their pets on time.

The pet app is FREE to owners and is downloadable across Western Europe in six different languages, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, German and Dutch (all available via the Apple Store). The film itself has also been created in six languages and can be viewed throughout the EU on local-language Elanco MyVetProgram websites.

“Elanco has worked tirelessly to get this handy pet app to market and Mobas was thrilled to be part of the team,” says Jeannine Wheeler, director of Public Relations, “Elanco’s pet app is not only a convenient reminder for pet owners, but also contains valuable information about pet care. And it was great fun making the film; consequently – we no longer believe the old adage about working with animals. In fact, our follow-on film for Elanco was filming with cats!”

Called MyVetProgram, the new pet app is part of an Elanco Companion Animal Health effort to make pet care information more accessible for animal owners; providing an easy-to-use organisational lifestyle tool for pet owners in Western Europe for a healthier animal with an improved quality of life.

“With busy lifestyles and lots to do, it is easy to overlook the one thing that can be integral to the good health and longevity of your pets: giving them their medication on time,” says Helen Barnes, Senior Brand Consultant, W. Europe, for Elanco Companion Animal Health. “But now, it’s easier than ever to ensure that you don’t miss a medication or routine treatment with Elanco’s handy new pet reminder called MyVetProgram, which is available to download free.”

This handy new tool allows users to personalise pet information with pets’ names and favourite pet photos; even uploading barks or meows as reminder alerts.

To make it even more convenient – the new Elanco pet app allows owners to store vet practice details so getting in touch is quicker and more convenient than ever – especially in an emergency.

The new Elanco MyVetProgram app also includes access to a broad range of pet treatment information, including controlling fleas, treating worms, travelling with pets abroad, getting vaccinations, weight control and caring for older pets.

With its treatment alerts, vet contact details and pet health information, the new and FREE Elanco MyVetProgram app is designed to be an invaluable pet-owner resource.

The Elanco MyVetProgram is currently available for a range of handheld smart phones and tablets, and can be downloaded FREE from the Apple Store online or in the UK by visiting www.myvetprogram.co.uk.

Leading integrated agency Mobas has been named one of the UK’s most prominent agencies – ranked 41 nationally and No. 2 in the Eastern Region

Cambridge-based Mobas has once again achieved regional and national recognition as a Top 100 UK Design Agency.

Marketing and media publication The Drum reaffirmed Mobas as one of the fastest growing integrated agencies in the East of England, as it continues to thrive on creativity and deliver successful campaigns.

The Design 100, which reviews design talent across Britain, is judged on criteria that includes recommendations from current clients, company turnover and profit per head.

Says Rob Bryant, Managing Director at Mobas: “Each year we climb higher on the national register, which is testament to the design talent and creative commitment at Mobas. It’s great to be acknowledged as a high-calibre agency in this way, especially as we are currently celebrating our 10-year anniversary. It is a landmark time for Mobas and we have invested in the best people for the next phase of development and another successful year of expansion.”

A spokesperson for The Drum states: “A trend towards integration and convergence was evident this year, as statistics showed 71% listed advertising as one of their disciplines, however, as consumer behaviour continues to revolve more and more around online activity, the majority of the top 100 counted digital as a discipline and listed by 83% of agencies, while 91% of those in the financial table listed branding as a business discipline.”

Rob Bryant concludes: “The Drum’s high ranking of Mobas reaffirms our commitment to be one of the best agencies in the UK – and one with a strong commitment to today’s digital influence in design, and indeed across all of our disciplines.”
