Protecting the nation’s pets: tick!

Challenge

Bravecto is MSD Animal Health’s innovative flea and tick treatment for cats and dogs. We teamed up to get behind The Big Tick Project – the largest ever veterinary study of tick and tick-borne disease in the UK. The nation’s pets deserved a campaign to make a difference, and we delivered.

Approach

The comprehensive study provided a powerful package to raise awareness of the tick threat, highlight the need for preventative care, and subtly create Bravecto brand recognition. We harnessed our strategic and creative impact around Big Tick Month, an opportunity to drive footfall and dialogue at vet practices across the UK.

Delivery

From web to printed materials and beyond, the campaign was a case-study in multi-touchpoint consistency. We hit everything from practice waiting rooms to social media around pet events nationwide. Key influencers came on board and key content was added to continue the debate and spread the word on preventative care. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram came alive and ongoing PPC added oxygen.

Outcome

We were able to reach 2.5 million dog owners, equating to 42% of the UK households with dogs - a big tick for awareness. A whole new pet-loving audience is continuing to engage and interact with the project.
