FIDAVET.COM SEO CASE STUDY

fidavet.com SEO project background

Fidavet is a range of over-the-counter products for pet care produced by Janssen Animal Health.

Having created the brand and marketing material for Fidavet, Mobas also designed and created a multi lingual, international website to raise awareness of the brand and its products to consumers.

As well as the creation of the website, Mobas emphasised to the client how crucial it is to not only have a great looking website, but also to create strong digital visibility to drive traffic, and therefore potential customers, to the website.

This SEO project, to date, has been carried out onsite and via a blog across the UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy and Belgium.

Mobas is now in the process of creating a network of inward links to the website to further enhance its online presence.

Mobas continuously ensures that key onsite optimisation takes place throughout Fidavet.com on an ongoing basis.

Different sections of the site require different keyphrases to be used across several different languages.

The onsite optimisation ensures that search engines can determine the nature of the content on each page.

blogging and facebook


A blog was created for Fidavet with a set number of posts month.

This feeds through to a ‘latest news’ page on the website ensuring that new content is continually appearing onsite. An RSS feed has also been set up feeding the blog posts to a facebook page with its own ‘fans’. This process happens across all languages.

Below are screen shots of the Google Analytics results for Fidavet.com. You can see where Mobas began the optimisation process and how results have been affected following that.

The graph below illustrates the month on month growth in Unique visits, Visits and Page Visits from March 2010 to February 2011.

Conclusion

As you can see from the charts and statistics throughout this case study, traffic has steadily increased overtime and at the time of writing, the website has had over 40,000 page visits. This has been achieved on a website which had no presence on the web at the beginning of the project. Generating traffic to a brand new website can be difficult as search engines have absolutely no trace of the websites history and therefore, no page rank to begin with or to build upon. You can also see that keeping the content fresh and relevant is key to helping the ranking of the site within search engines. Mobas expects to see this trend continue, and increase with the introduction of an inward link building campaign for the website over the coming months. The optimisation of fidavet.com is continuously monitored and tweaked to ensure that it always has the best chance of appearing when users search for key phrases relevant to the Fidavet offering.
