Two members of the Mobas PR team have been elected to represent the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in East Anglia.

Adam Tuckwell, Head of PR and Catie Allwright, PR Account Executive, were elected to serve on the CIPR committee for 2017/8 at the committee's AGM in May 2017.

Adam was elected as Joint-Chair, a position he has held for the last two years. In this role, Adam is responsible for setting the direction of the CIPR's activities in the region, representing the 500+ CIPR members across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Under his leadership, the committee hosted 12 events in 2016, including an annual conference, behind the scenes visits to BBC radio and ITV in Norwich as well as training sessions in Social Media for PRs and effective face to face communications.

Catie, who will be joining the committee for the first time, will act as the Social Media Coordinator, sharing news and promoting events across the CIPR's social media channels. Catie is well placed for this role as she manages a number of social media channels for Mobas clients as well as the agency's feeds.

Robin Bryant, Joint Managing Director at Mobas, said: "We truly understand as an agency that we¹re always learning and developing, therefore as part of the Mobas team I¹m so proud that Adam and Catie have been selected to sit on the CIPR Committee to support professional development within East Anglia."

The AGM followed the CIPR's annual Best PRactice conference, hosted at the University of Cambridge. The conference featured a host of industry leading speakers from both in-house and agencies, including speakers from Ketchum, Aviva, SocialB, The Taylor Bennett Foundation and Oxford University Press. Adam represented Mobas in the speaking lineup, joining a panel debating the growth on Fake News and the shared responsibility of PRs and Journalists in addressing the issue.

Adam and Catie will serve the committee for the next 12 months. More information can be found on the CIPR's regional website: https://ciprea.org/
