Mobas appointed by Northampton Students’ Union

Following a competitive pitching process, Mobas is delighted to have been appointed by The University of Northampton Students’ Union to develop new ways of communicating with and engaging students.

The University of Northampton is breaking the mould of what higher education can be. This has led them to build a whole new campus from the ground up that is designed to reflect the way that students actually learn rather than the way they are expected to learn.

The Students’ Union support this mantra with a goal of building a community and supporting student wellbeing. Their mission statement is: to represent, inspire and support their members to proactively shape an outstanding student journey.

Rafael Garcia-Krailing, Students’ Union President, commented: “2019 is a critical year for the Students’ Union, if we are to achieve our goal and be recognised by all our student members as an integral part of their student life. We sought industry-leading expertise to support us in achieving our goal. Mobas delivered an eye-opening creative pitch. Mobas clearly understand who we are, what we are looking to achieve, and we are confident that through working together as partners for the next 12 months we will be able to enhance not only the quality of our marketing output but also the services and support we offer our students”.

Mobas will be providing embedded marketing support within the Students’ Union, defining and executing its marketing strategy and providing a range of marketing and brand support across events, design, branding, PR and social media.

As we approach World Cup year in 2026, the branding, ball and other assets have now been released so we are starting to get a feel for how it will look.

But, it’s not just the visuals of the branding and sponsors which shape how the tournament feels, but also the kits.

This time, as expected, the majority of kits will be Adidas or Nike manufactured, with a few others in the mix. But I want to spend some time focusing on Adidas.

They’ve made a subtle change to their template, which I expect to start seeing across all of their club kits too in the 26/27 season. It’s so subtle you may not notice, or you may notice a difference but not be able to put your finger on it.
In fact, it’s a change that I’m surprised hasn’t happened sooner.

If this sparked a rethink with your brand, imagine what we could achieve together.
