Mobas appoints Matt Higgs as Brand and Insight Strategist

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Higgs as Brand and Insight Strategist.

Matt joins our growing Business and Brand Strategy team, reflecting the continued success and expansion of this core service.

Matt brings a wealth of research, brand and strategic expertise in helping to turn consumer insight into effective strategies for clients including Anheuser Busch InBev, Tesco, Bayer and Coca-Cola.

Commenting on his appointment Matt says “I have been a long-term admirer of Mobas, being based in Cambridge for several years, and have been privy to the great work they have delivered and rightly received widespread recognition for. I am looking forward to working with the team, contributing to high-impact work that resonates with target audiences and brings about the intended behaviour change for clients. In particular by delivering human insight and strategic thought that ultimately helps surpass client expectations.”

Mobas Director of Strategy and team lead Shelby Haslam comments: “Matt has been on our radar for some time and we are delighted to welcome him as a member of the team. Matt has impeccable research credentials, having worked with internationally renowned insight businesses, and brings valuable experience of devising strategies for major blue-chip businesses at agencies such as McCann Worldwide. What we like about Matt, though, is the enthusiasm that he brings for client challenges and his ability to apply insight to create real-world impact.”

As we approach World Cup year in 2026, the branding, ball and other assets have now been released so we are starting to get a feel for how it will look.

But, it’s not just the visuals of the branding and sponsors which shape how the tournament feels, but also the kits.

This time, as expected, the majority of kits will be Adidas or Nike manufactured, with a few others in the mix. But I want to spend some time focusing on Adidas.

They’ve made a subtle change to their template, which I expect to start seeing across all of their club kits too in the 26/27 season. It’s so subtle you may not notice, or you may notice a difference but not be able to put your finger on it.
In fact, it’s a change that I’m surprised hasn’t happened sooner.

If this sparked a rethink with your brand, imagine what we could achieve together.
