Mobas continues to grow

Mobas, the Brand Transformation Agency based in Cambridge, has announced the appointment of Claire Durrant as Social Media Manager, Nathaniel Mahoney as Digital and Creative Designer, and the promotion of Lorna Hopkins to Head of Client Services.

Claire Durrant has been appointed as Social Media Manager. Claire started her social media career in-house at a large multi-functional charity in London. Since moving to Cambridge in 2018, Claire has worked as a freelance social media consultant offering expert training, campaign support and management services to a range of clients. She has experience working with both B2B and B2C clients across several sectors.

Claire believes in a strategic approach to social media marketing; she has a passion for well-integrated campaigns and a strong creative flair. In her new role, Claire will work across key client accounts, helping to deliver their social media strategy.

Nathaniel Mahoney joins the Digital and Creative teams as Digital and Creative Designer. Nathaniel graduated from Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) with a degree in Graphic Design. He has worked both in-house and in agencies and has a background in print, digital and social. Nathaniel recently returned to the UK after spending 18 months in South East Asia where he ran his own agency helping start-ups and SME’s achieve their business goals and getting their business or product to market. In his new role, Nathaniel will work across a varied client portfolio from branding projects, campaign creation and website design.

Robin Bryant, Mobas Founder and Joint Managing Director commented, “We are excited to welcome both Claire and Nathaniel to the team. Demands in our market are continually evolving and they each have expertise that will help us to showcase our expertise and deliver incredible results for our clients”.

Mobas has also announced the promotion of Lorna Hopkins to Head of Client Services. Lorna joined Mobas in 2014 as an Account Manager and she subsequently worked her way up to Senior Account Manager. In this role she helped to develop and deploy marketing concepts and campaigns and managed all client projects. In her new role, Lorna will oversee the relationships across all clients and work closely to develop the client services team of five.

Bryant continues, “As an agency, Mobas is made up of a talented group of professionals who strive to deliver outstanding work, whether that’s creative concepts and digital marketing to social media and PR. Claire and Nathaniel have joined the team at a very exciting time, and Lorna’s promotion was only a matter of time as we do our best to help our team progress and develop.”

As we approach World Cup year in 2026, the branding, ball and other assets have now been released so we are starting to get a feel for how it will look.

But, it’s not just the visuals of the branding and sponsors which shape how the tournament feels, but also the kits.

This time, as expected, the majority of kits will be Adidas or Nike manufactured, with a few others in the mix. But I want to spend some time focusing on Adidas.

They’ve made a subtle change to their template, which I expect to start seeing across all of their club kits too in the 26/27 season. It’s so subtle you may not notice, or you may notice a difference but not be able to put your finger on it.
In fact, it’s a change that I’m surprised hasn’t happened sooner.

If this sparked a rethink with your brand, imagine what we could achieve together.
