Triumphs and challenges at Mobas: 2023 in review

Reflecting on the journey through 2023, it’s inspiring to recount the remarkable achievements we’ve realised at Mobas. Our team, embodying the spirit of mavericks, has consistently delivered exceptional projects across diverse industries. This year, we’ve seen our talents reach new heights, demonstrating unwavering dedication and skill in serving our clients.

Despite a year marked by challenges, including the departure of valued colleagues to new sectors and retirements, we’ve embraced these changes with a positive outlook. 2023 brought fresh, industry-leading talent into our team, enhancing our performance, and complementing our already outstanding group of experts.

Celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2023, Mobas has been navigating a complex business and economic environment. During 2023, we welcomed a surge of new clients and expanded our team, bolstering our expertise and maintaining a highly satisfied client base which, as always, is our key priority.

Financially, 2023 has been a prosperous year for us. We’ve witnessed consistent growth, primarily attributed to our core services: brand strategy, digital effectiveness, and marketing activation. Our engagement across various services, including employee value proposition, market sizing, and go-to-market strategies, has notably increased, particularly within the digital effectiveness sphere, and we believe this is set to continue into 2024 and beyond.

The expansion of our team, including senior figures in brand strategy, client services and digital teams, has fortified our capabilities. We operate from our Cambridge and London bases with a belief that every aspect of branding should be anchored in insightful research, setting us apart from those hesitant to challenge conventional views.

Our commitment to the Mobas method has significantly grown our client portfolio, adding prestigious names such as Anglian Water, British Medical Group, Ceres Rural, Excello Law, KWS UK, NHS East of England, OnCampus, Pfizer, University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership and Wates Group. This growth is driven by our trusted client relationships, a strong referral programme, and an effective inbound sales and marketing strategy, all backed by the delivery of high-quality, impactful brand and marketing strategies.

Robin Bryant, Mobas founder and Joint Managing Director, reflects on the past year: “Utilising cutting-edge technologies, tapping into our creative expertise, and leveraging industry insights, our award-winning team consistently delivers unparalleled results. The successes of this year, marked by outstanding work and client satisfaction, have been incredibly rewarding and motivate our team to strive for excellence every day. Our 20th year embodies our commitment to offering optimal services, constantly engaging, and challenging our clients”.

Looking ahead, Robin emphasises the rapidly evolving brand marketing landscape, with developments in AI integration, marketing automation and distribution channels. Mobas remains committed to staying at the forefront of these changes, continuing to be a trusted adviser for our clients.

The enthusiasm for the future of our business is at an all-time high, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunities that 2024 will bring.
